Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Ilham Aliyev to pay a visit to Turkmenistan in 2026

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has invited the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to visit Turkmenistan in 2026.

This was stated in the congratulatory message sent by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to President Aliyev in connection with the unanimous decision adopted at the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia on “the full participation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.”

“We look forward, esteemed Ilham Heydar oglu, to welcoming you as a dear brother and friend at next year’s 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, which will be held in Turkmenistan,” the congratulatory message reads.
