311th Meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives of the ECO
On 21 October 2026, the 311th meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was held at the ECO Secretariat.
During the meeting, a number of current issues were discussed, including preparations for the 5th Meeting of the Ministers of Interior of the ECO Member States, scheduled to take place in Islamabad on 29–30 October 2026; the 30th Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers, scheduled for 15–16 November 2026 in Islamabad; and the 18th ECO Summit, to be held in Tehran in December 2026.
The meeting also addressed the finalization of the draft documents entitled “Strategic Objectives of Economic Cooperation – 2035” and the “Islamabad Communiqué”. In addition, other matters of mutual interest were considered.
The ECO Secretariat expressed its special appreciation to Turkmenistan for agreeing to host the next Meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the ECO Member States in 2027, as well as for the active participation of the Turkmen side in the Organization’s activities.
