Conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations

On October 27, 2025, a conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations was held at the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The event was organized within the framework of the year held under the motto “2025 – The International Year of Peace and Trust.” The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran took part in the conference. The event was also attended by Mr. Shahab Ansari, Vice President of Iran for Environment, Mr. Ehsan Bagaei, Deputy Head of the Public Diplomacy Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the Government, as well as heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the country.

During the conference, speeches were delivered by Mr. Stefan Priesner, UN Resident Coordinator in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Vice President for Environment, and the Deputy Head of the Public Diplomacy Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In their statements, the speakers highlighted the role of the United Nations in the system of international relations, its ongoing activities and objectives, as well as the areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the United Nations and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
