ONLINE TALKS ON JOINING BY TURKMENISTAN THE “DOING BUSINESS” PROJECT OF THE WORLD BANK

On June 19, 2020, the online talks took place on joining by Turkmenistan the “Doing Business” project of the World Bank.  

The representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, a staff member of the World Bank Representative Office in Turkmenistan participated to the event.  The World Bank specialists joined the meeting through videoconferencing. 

Stating the constructive nature of cooperation with the World Bank in different spheres including the healthcare, statistics, transport, bank and finances, the participants of the meeting underlined the significance of the proposed project. In this context, an exchange of views took place on the future of strengthening the bilateral ties in view of fundamental changes taking place in various fields of national economy of Turkmenistan, particularly on further development of non-governmental sector of economy.      

Currently, the abovementioned project encompasses more than 180 countries. Its goal is to provide the objective basis for comprehending and bettering the legal base regulating the entrepreneurial activities in the world through collecting and analyzing the all-round quantitative data for correlating the regulating conditions in this type of activities and dynamics.
