Meeting at the MFA of Turkmenistan with representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO)

On May 14, 2024, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan M.Byashimova and representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO). During the meeting, issues of implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of the ILO Assistant Director-General, Regional Director of the ILO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia Beate Andrees in February of this year were considered.

During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of interaction between Turkmenistan and the ILO over many years. In the context of developing cooperation, issues of further expanding the dialogue and establishing connections on a systematic basis were considered.

According to the sides, having become the second comprehensive document between Turkmenistan and the ILO, the “Roadmap of cooperation activities between the Government of Turkmenistan and the International Labor Organization for 2024-2025” identified key areas of interaction and specific steps for the near future.

A separate topic of discussion was the preparation of the delegation of Turkmenistan for the upcoming 112th session of the International Labor Conference.
