Embassy of Turkmenistan in collaboration with the Institute of Culture of the ECO (ECOCI) in Tehran, organized a cultural exhibition, dedicated to the 300th birthday anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.

On Saturday, March 16 2024, Embassy of Turkmenistan in collaboration with the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECOCI) in Tehran, organized a cultural exhibition, dedicated to the 300th  birthday anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.

The event was attended by President of the ECOCI Mr. Saad Khan; including well-known figures as the researchers of the creativity of Magtymguly Fragi Vice-president of the Iranian association of cultural artifacts and monuments Dr. Alireza Habibi; head of the turkmen cultural center in Iran Ali Rahbar; head of the Tehran branch of the “AVA” international diplomatic journal and from the Iranian side by the relevant representatives of the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Ministry of Culture and islamic guidance, proffesor-teachers of the Iranian univerisities.

During opening ceremony of exhibition President of the ECOCI Mr. Saad Khan and the First secretary-consul of the Embassy of Turkmenistan A.Bayramov addressed to the gathered with their keynote speeches. In its address, the Turkmen side informed in detail the participants of the event about the steps taken by the Government of Turkmenistan to study and preserve the immortal heritage of the Turkmen poet, including the announcement of the motto of the 2024 year in Turkmenistan as “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi” and the organized different events in Turkmenistan and abroad in honor of jubilee year of Turkmen poet. Along with that, during the exhibition, participants read out the poems of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi and also spoke about his creative work.

During the event, participants showed great interest in the national values ​​and rich ancient heritage of the Turkmen nation and they have been met with the culture of the country closely.
