Embassy of Turkmenistan with the support of the Institute of Culture of the ECO (ECOCI) in Tehran, organized a solemn cultural event, dedicated to the 300th birthday anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
On Tuesday, 12 March 2024, the Embassy of Turkmenistan with the support of the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECOCI) in Tehran, organized a solemn cultural event, dedicated to the 300th birthday anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
The event was attended from the Iranian side by the relevant representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, staff of the scientific community, including well-known figures as the Vice-president of the Iranian Association of Cultural Artifacts and Monuments Dr. Alireza Habibi, researchers of the creativity of Magtymguly Fragi Dr. Nasser Koli Sarli (Kharazmi University). On behalf of the organizers of the cultural event, the President of the ECOCI Mr. Saad Khan and the First secretary-consul of the Embassy of Turkmenistan A.Bayramov addressed to the gathered with their keynote speeches.
In its address, the Turkmen side informed in detail the participants of the event about the steps taken by the Government of Turkmenistan to study and preserve the immortal heritage of the Turkmen poet, including the announcement of the motto of the 2024 year in Turkmenistan as “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi” and the organized different events in Turkmenistan and abroad in honor of jubilee year of Turkmen poet.
Along with that, during the cultural event, famous Iranian scientists read out the poems of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi and also spoke about his creative work.
During the meeting, participants discussed issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Embassy and ECOCI. Both sides noted with satisfaction the high dynamics of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as the wide opportunities and prospects for bilateral interaction.
