A 354-meter-long automobile bridge across the Garabogaz Gulf has opened in Turkmenistan
The grand opening of a road bridge across the Garabogaz Gulf took place in Turkmenistan. The ceremony coincided with Construction and Industrial Complex Workers' Day, celebrated in the country on November 3.
The Ukrainian company "Altcom" was the construction contractor. The bridge meets international quality standards and technical and operational requirements.
The bridge is 354 meters long and 21 meters wide. Its two-way deck is designed to accommodate vehicles with a carrying capacity of 40-50 tons. Sulfate-resistant cement, reinforced concrete structures, and other high-strength materials were used in its construction, ensuring resistance to corrosion, deformation, and seismic loads.
The new structure is designed to ensure high throughput for international freight transport. At the opening ceremony, it was noted that the bridge symbolizes good neighborliness and friendship between the peoples of the region, the publication notes.
