President Rouhani congratulates Turkmenistan on Neutrality Day

President Rouhani sent a message to the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow to congratulate the country's Day of Neutrality.

Dr Hassan Rouhani’s message is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful

Your Excellency Mr Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow,

Honourable President of Turkmenistan,

Accept my sincere congratulations on the celebration of Day of Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

It is gratifying that December 12 has been adopted by the United Nations General Assembly as the International Neutrality Day on Turkmenistan’s initiative.

I would like to emphasise that the development of friendly, comprehensive relations with Turkmenistan is of particular importance to us. We are happy that Turkmenistan is still taking serious, practical steps within the framework of neutrality policy in order to consolidate peace, stability and development in the region. The continuation of this policy is due to Your Excellency’s far-sightedness.

I pray to the Almighty for Your Excellency’s health and success and the people of Turkmenistan’s prosperity and felicity.
